If you’re seeing this page, you’re in(vited).
Once the wedding madness is over on the 16th, we’d love to steal a smaller gang of friends and family away for one last night together before everyone scatters back home.
So on 16 February, after the final breakfast, we’re heading to Pobitora.
And because this is a slightly smaller plan, pls to keep this page with you and don't share the link around ❤️
Where we’re going
Ap and rish have booked all of us into Rhino & River, a nice retreat overlooking the Brahmaputra floodplains and countryside, just outside Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary. And Pobitora itself is special; this tiny sanctuary in Assam has the highest density of greater one-horned rhinoceroses in the world. It’s also beautiful birding country, with wetlands, grasslands and resident/ migratory birds in abundance. Plus, this was ap and rish's first birding trip together (pictures on this website are all from Pobitora)
So yes, there will probably be rhinos and pretty birdies. And a night of no-rituals fun.
The rough plan
16 February
Leave Mayfair after [breakfast/ brunch/ whenever everyone has recovered]
- We drive together to Pobitora
- Check in + traditional Assamese lunch (is R&R's speciality)
- Option to get into a Jeep safari
- Sunset, drinks, dinner and one final evening together
17 February
- Option for early morning safari and/or birding
- V slow Breakfast
- Check out and head back towards Guwahati/ airport
We'll work out the exact programme with the safaris closer to the date. You don't need to organise anything ofc. This is an aprish special to say thanks for coming.
We're not taking no for answers, so we're counting you in, okay?
If you’re flying out on the 17th, tell us your flight time beforehand so we can make sure the return journey works comfortably.
